Singing and Silence

This course in open to everybody, not only musicians. To persons who love to express themselves through singing and want to explore its effects on the inner worlds.

The participants sit in a circle. We sing together, 6-8 hours every day, with exercises in silence in between. The singing material is not based on traditional songs, rather on vowels and intuitive exercises.

Instruments can be brought if people know how to play them, and may be used in certain moments, however, it is not a course in instrumental improvisation, rather the exploration of sound through singing  - and silence, leading to meditation.

Markus Stockhausen says: "People from all races and cultures can join here and experience the unity among themselves in sound. This is the great miracle of sound and music, it can really change the consciousness of people around the world."

Venue:  Montegrotto Terme – Padova - Italy
Date of the Workshop: 24/08/2010 – 28/08/2010
Course Duration: Arrival of participants on 23 August 2010,
the course begins August 24 and end  August 28, 2010.

PROGRAMME
Lesson time: every day 10-13 hours, and 17 -20 hours
Lessons will concern:
• Singing Together - Sound and meditation (level 1)
• When the soul sings - Song and silence course  (level 2)
• Optional: 1 hour of yoga in the mornings from 7:30-8:30
starting on the 25-28th

The deadline for sending the application form is March 2010, 15th.

The list of selected persons, from 10 to 20 beneficiaries of EU funds and up till 10 Italians, will be published on web within April 15th, 2010.

If your candidature to this Workshop is accepted, the Workshop Organization will return to you a signed copy of the application form, as parties agreement.

This agreement freely signed, will be taken as a document attesting the submitter's unconstrained acceptance of the Workshop Regulations and his/her adherence to the event.
